I assume you do have them turned on?

If so it may be just due to the huge update that everyone is downloading, I know I've had troubles with everyone in Friends showing online when they are not, nobody showing in the guild dialog, etc. Those problems always fix themselves shortly.

may be a silly question but are u in a guild? cos guild and allaince chat are faded out if ur not in a guild
